Well I have a lot to thankful for. First of all, as Amy let you know, they were able to save my dad's foot. And a BIG thanks to Amy for calling and checking up on us and giving a updating for me. I am so blessed. And last but certainly not least, thanks to EVERYONE who was praying for my dad, and God answered, praise praise! Just to let you know, I did miss everyone at my bible study Wed. night, and I was so looking forward to hearing it on the pod cast. Nicki said something happened, so I don't get to hear it. RATS!!! Any-hoo I will be there next week. Praise again.
Now let me tell you what I came home to. Well first off, I had mention to David the we needed to get Jonathan a bigger dirt bike. He has one, but it is a small one ( a 50) and he is really to big for that one now. So I thought OK, we will get it for Christmas, and I told David to start looking for a bigger one. Well who knew you don't have to really look for one, or order it, you just walk in a buy it. So you all know whats coming, oh yes he calls me while I was at the beach and says " hey, what are y'all doing, hows your dad, oh I went and got that thing, hows the weather?"
Uh did you see how he just slipped that in? I was like "what thing, what is that noise?" HE WAS RIDING IT!!!! Ok do we need to go get you one too? And it is a big one, I was like, that is TOO BIG!!! So I have learned that when it comes to toys, there will be no "Oh, just a idea, we should get this in 5 months". When you say it, you better be ready to see it the next day. So anyway we now have a 50 & a 100. Dad also brought a pink helmet home for the girls. Lydia Grace yells out now I get the little one. My head is spinning.
I have to just stop and think, my cup is half full. This is my time to enjoy my precious children, so I will. God has blessed me so very much
with everything, I am so thankful. We need to spend our time, praising our Lord for the things we have, and not for the thing we don't. Think for a moment on what you spend more time on, what you have or want.

The Daddy Update
Hey y'all -- Stephanie's friend Amy here. I talked to her today and she asked me to update her blog. First of all, she wanted to thank everyone for praying for him! As of right now, he is not going to have to have his foot amputated. They were going to go in and clean his wound again today, and he has a nurse that's coming out to change his dressings. Stephanie's mom is going to have to learn how to do this, and she says it's really painful for him, so pray that her mom will be able to handle the stress of that -- but Stephanie's sister has a friend who has just passed her Nursing Boards, so she may be able to help them out. :)
She said the doctor told her dad that because he has a pretty long history of smoking, that the capillaries in his feet are damaged (which is making it hard for the wound to heal) and that can't be reversed. But, if he can stop smoking, then the damage will not get any worse. Stephanie said he hasn't smoked since Friday, so pray that he'll be able to give up that habit. He is a truck driver, so if he loses his right foot it would directly affect his livelihood.
She didn't know for sure when she'd be coming home, but it sounded like sometime soon since they're not able to be around him a whole lot. Again, she wanted me to thank everyone for praying for him, and to ask you to continue to pray for him and for her mom. This is my feeble attempt at explaining it, so Stephanie, please forgive me if I've given any misinformation! :)

Prayer please.......
Hey, well first of all, we have made it through the camp week. When I got there to get him he said "I want to stay". So he did really well.
Now on to my title. I am in desprate need of some prayer for my Dad. For the past week, he has been battling with a diabetic wond that would not heal. He has had surgery on it once last week and they will be checking the blood flow tomorrow. Please pray that things have got better with the blood flow. If not they are talking about amputation. I am leaving today to go down to the beach, (where they live) and I will be back Wed. I will not be staying with them because we don't want the kids running around his leg while it is proped up. So we will be close and can check in on them. I will try to let you know how things are going, but it might not be until I get back. I am trying to get things together to get on the road, have a great week.

My animal experience.......
Well Amy E. had her turtle story, and Faith had her bird story, so her is my animal story. As some of you know we have a lot of woods behind our house, so we get a frequent visitor from Rocky the raccoon. I have a tote that I keep my Bible, Bible study stuff, ya know all the good stuff. Well I was switching out cars and I put my bag on the porch, now it is a big porch, but it was just for a min. When in all of my not so busy world (right) I forgot to bring it in, but I thought it would be fine because it was covered. Needless to say IT WASN'T! I get up, and everything was pulled out, things strung across my yard, and my Bible, well, it now has paw print all on the INSIDE!!
Now I believe everyone needs a little Bible time, but Rocky is gong to have to get his own.
How mad am I? So God is telling me that even the wild life must pray too, and don't leave his word on the porch.
Just to let you all know the raccoon got what he was after, there was a little baggie of Nilla wafers in the bag. So he got his snack and Gods word at the same time.

The trip to Camp....
It was really late when we got home last night. So as I told you before, I had been doing fine about the whole camp thing. Well just as I thought, there I was sitting in Sunday school, and my eyes started tearing up. I had to just take a moment, I looked at the clock, IT WAS 11:45. Oh it is getting close. Sorry Chad, class was really good, I just had a mommy moment, and I did focus back. So any way after church I had lunch with my sisters and our bunch of kids. Then we went to Target, nothing fixes a bad day like a trip to Target. For a few minutes. Because then it was time to leave.
We picked up David and off we went. You can just imagine how the trip went, when Dad is driving and I am reading the directions!!!! Still I am doing fine, the kids are doing fine and then, guess who gets pulled over? Oh yes, Daddy. Now this is the time when everyone should just stay quiet, and DO NOT ask questions. Well not my kids, oh and we had a cousin with us too.
So I am trying to keep everything quiet when Jonathan blurts out " man this is the second time I have been with dad, and he's been pulled over". David's face turned red, you could tell that was not the moment he wanted to hear that. Well I was trying soooooo hard not to laugh, but I just lost it, that was just so funny to me. So a big ticket later, we get the kids to camp, almost late!
And everyone did Great with the goodbyes.
After that we went to eat, at ROCK OLA, yes that it what I said, they have one of those there, where every we were. Then we headed home, uh needless to say I drove home.

Camp for the first time....
OK, I am in flip out mode right about now. Jonathan is going to camp for the first time tomorrow!!!! Everything has been going fine up until now, all my friends have been asking " how are you"?, " WOW a whole week", " are you freaking out"? And all the while I just kept thinking, oh this is nothing, but right about the time I get to Sunday school tomorrow, that is when I will be like "sedative please". The plan is to go to church, then lunch and off to camp. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Needless to say we are going to need a little prayer.
Alright now that I have had my Mommy flip out, I am sure we will all do just fine. So if we could all just pray that he doesn't get sick like Lydia Grace has been this week. Oh yea, it is never a dull moment around here. She got up at 3:30 am the other morning saying she really wanted some water. Well when I touched her she was burning up. She had a temp. of 105.6 and was starting to shake. So I threw her in the bath, and within a few minutes, it was down to 100.2.
We went to the doctor, and you know it is a virus. That mean wait it out, I love it when they say that. Her fever stayed around 102-103. Now we have been fever free for about 27 hours. Praise the Lord. Of course we went no where on the 4Th, even though she didn't have a fever, I still didn't want to get her out yet. So tonight we did go to Monkey Joe's, we wanted to take the kids out before they went off to camp. They being two of Jonathan's cousins, they are going too.
I am really excited that he is going. We have a life insurance policy on the kids, that blows the others out of the water. Anyway they have there own summer camp, and once your child turns 8, they get to go, up until they are 15. So he has really been looking forward to going. Well it is about 10:30, I need to finish up and try to get some sleep for the big day.

At 3:00 am............
OK, to go along with my title the past few nights I have been waking up 2, 3, 4 in the morning not being able to sleep. So as I am thinking about all kinds of things, one thing that stood out was What are you missing?
Do you ever just feel like there is something you want or need but you just don't know what it is? Now, some people think they need to shop when things are going bad, that it will make them feel better. Or eat, eat, eat. Some people, when things are just as low as it can get, it is time to break out the ice cream.
An the answer is so simple, it is the Lord, he is what you need. When you have him in your life, things aren't so bad. Now don't get me wrong, there will still be tough times, but nothing you can't handle. If you do not walk with the Lord, try it, if you have gotten off path, go back, you have never felt something so wonderful.
So many times I have seen people be in a terrible place in their life, and they look at God to say " WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?" When the answer is right there, maybe he is trying to get your attention. Maybe that is his way of saying " WHY AREN'T YOU LOVING, TRUSTING, AND WALKING WITH ME?" Get the picture? Try him, trust him, what do you have to loose? Or are you afraid of having something good?
