At 3:00 am............

OK, to go along with my title the past few nights I have been waking up 2, 3, 4 in the morning not being able to sleep. So as I am thinking about all kinds of things, one thing that stood out was What are you missing?
Do you ever just feel like there is something you want or need but you just don't know what it is? Now, some people think they need to shop when things are going bad, that it will make them feel better. Or eat, eat, eat. Some people, when things are just as low as it can get, it is time to break out the ice cream.
An the answer is so simple, it is the Lord, he is what you need. When you have him in your life, things aren't so bad. Now don't get me wrong, there will still be tough times, but nothing you can't handle. If you do not walk with the Lord, try it, if you have gotten off path, go back, you have never felt something so wonderful.
So many times I have seen people be in a terrible place in their life, and they look at God to say " WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?" When the answer is right there, maybe he is trying to get your attention. Maybe that is his way of saying " WHY AREN'T YOU LOVING, TRUSTING, AND WALKING WITH ME?" Get the picture? Try him, trust him, what do you have to loose? Or are you afraid of having something good?

Recital is done..... what's next?

OK, recital went really well. it is really fun seeing all these people that I went to school with, there with their kids. Any way Lydia Grace did really, really good. Jonathan was put out with the whole thing, so he took his DS to play, and Alexis loved it! I can't wait to see her next year, they already have the schedule out for next year.
So after all that, Oh I almost forgot Dave flew back in Sat. evening, getting off the plane right before she went on. So after all that I woke up with a bad headache Sunday. I tried so hard to get ready for church, but I just couldn't make it. I finally got rid of it later Sunday.
Now we are just doing nothing the past two days, just resting, and continuing the potty training since we are not going any where. She is doing really well, she has not been wet all day. Whew, soon no more diapers. Hopefully this will only take a week. I don't think any of my kids were potty trained before they were two.
So as I have not been leaving the house, I am trying to rest as much as possible, because when fall gets here, my goodness. Well next month, Jonathan is going of to camp for a week, we are going back to the beach, and the girls have Gymnastics. Aug. we have birthdays, school starting, dance starting and what ever Jonathan decides to do. it is a toss up to play football or wait to do wrestling. Then Lydia Grace will be cheering. This makes me tired just writing all of it. OK so anyone who has had their daughter in cheerleader at the church, please give me a idea on what the schedule is like, I am a planner, I think God had that in mind when I had to have c-sections. OK I have to run we need to go potty.

Alexis Dr. apt., Lydia's recital, VBS, my cup is FULL

Just let me start out by saying you can tell it is summer, because my oldest two are still up!!! So as I am trying to write, my 8yr. old is standing here telling me what he wants for Christmas. (giggle)

OK, let me tell you how this week has gone: I have been teaching VBS at church, not getting home until 9:30pm. Yesterday Lexi bug had her Ortho doctor apt. (VERY disappointing), today Lydia Grace's dress rehearsal, and tomorrow night recital. Oh did I mention the day VBS started my husband left to go out of town, and will not be back until tomorrow night (after the recital).

And Jonathan is back with more of his Christmas list. (now he is giggling)

Now let me tell you about Alexis doctors apt. This was a big one because we were doing x-rays, and measuring and everything. Needless to say trying to get a almost 2yr. old to stand totally still for a few minutes. is nearly impossible. She was screaming and crying, stomping in place with her arms up yelling mommy, was how the x-rays went. The x-ray tech is trying to make her feet stay flat and legs straight, well hello, she can't put both feet flat on the floor, without bending one leg. OK I had to get that out, I know they have a tough job, trying to x-ray little people. I am just being a mom. So the ONE picture we got one foot she is up on her tippy toe. Her doctor tells me (for the second time) there in NOTHING that can be done, to fix it. So again being a mom, and thinking about all the technology that is out there. I ask what about a brace, surgery. a lift anything? And he can tell I am just not taking that for a answer. He very gently says there is nothing. Surgery, maybe when she is much older, and that consist of stopping the growth in her normal leg, Uh no thanks! The lift, maybe when she is older. Then he tells me, " it really isn't as bad as it seems to you". Well I know some of the other children he treats are so much worse off, but you know when it is your child you are like "NOT THAT BAD"? The good news is she is very active just like a normal almost 2yr. old. She runs VERY fast, and uses her leg really good. He said there is a good possibility that it will straighten it self out as she gets older. And just to let you know, this doctor has been doing this for a very long time, is VERY recommended, and I have been told by many, many people that he is the BEST when it come to children. So please keep praying for Gods great work on Lexi's leg and that no other problems come up. And next year you all can come see her up on stage in the recital with Lydia Grace.

Speaking of recital, the dress rehearsal was going well, then it began to rain, a lot!! And any of you who has been down this road knows that you have to go out and around to take your child back stage, and out and around to get them from back stage, with lots of stairs. Now this would be OK, with the exception of trying to do it with a stroller, make up case, costume bag, and a purse, in the RAIN. After rehearsal, we had her pictures made, thank goodness her hair is curly, and it doesn't go flat in the rain. (heehee) Needless to say after all that, we picked up something for dinner, came home, ate, and put on a movie.
Here is a picture ouf Lydia Grace and here BFF Kayla in their costumes. And oh yes those are black feathers in their hair.

Exciting day......

I have no idea where to start. Well first of all, I went and bought the PINK potty last night. Lexi-bug is doing really well, she has gone twice!!! And she even told me she needed to go. So exciting!!
And then, you are not going to believe this, the Backyardigans, and the Wiggles are coming to Charlotte!! I know, you are like, WHAT!!!! I know I was the same way. Can you tell we are a little excited, well keep reading and I will tell you why.
Alexis birthday is coming up (in Aug.) and she LOVES the Backyardigans & the Wiggles, she just screams when they come on. So we have a toss up to which one of them will be her BIG party. Now if you don't know me that well, we have multiple parties in our house. We have dinner and party on our birthday (this is usually us and my sisters), a party at school, and then our BIG party on the weekend. Now the Wiggles are coming on Aug. 24Th , so that will be a early present (the backyardigans July 13th). We are also trying to decide if we want to have it at Monkey Joe's or Inflation Fun Station.
So what do you all think on which party for what, and where. I want to hear what other moms suggest. And I need to start booking things now, that is why I start so early. I can't wait to hear from you all.

Prayer request for a friend......

One of my dearest friends called me today to let me know she had two eggs implanted. Now let me give you a little background. She has two other children, and was pregnant, with her third a few years ago. At five months she mis-carried, at that time she and her husband decided they couldn't go through that again. That is when he got the MAN surgery. The past couple of years she has wanted more children, and has prayed, and giving God control. Well, thank you Lord, and Lord for today's medicine, because they were able to take what they needed from her husband, and give it to her. Even after the MAN surgery!! I am praising the Lord for her. As of right now she is carrying twins. (which is what she wanted) So the prayer request is that she does fine and that she will be able to carry them to full term. Right now is the wait, to see if they attache, and do what they need to do. She and her husband are members of HGBC, but I told her I wouldn't give out any names right yet. But I am sure you have met her. Oh I am so excited for her.

Dear heavenly father, thank you for making the wonderful thing happen. We are all so over joyed about this. Lord please keep her healthy, and be able to carry these precious babies. In Jesus name I pray. A-men

She did really well today.....

Well Daddy had a lot to do with that. She didn't want to lay down, started crying, so Daddy got to hold her through the whole thing, and she never said a word. The tech said she didn't see anything, but the Doctor will call in a couple of days. I want to thank you all very much for your prayers, it really means a lot to us. Now, I promised you some pictures from vacation, and here they are. We acted so much like tourist, hee hee.

Can you tell Jonathan really wanted his picture taken? Now the girls, they are cheesing.

Here we are at the aquarium, they loved it!
Now look at this little one, she wasn't to sure about the floor moving.
They look really happy here (they wanted to get in the water)
Here is everyone, and I have to give it up to Dad, he doesn't like having pictures made.

The night before...

Hi everyone we are back home. I love going to the beach, but I LOVE coming home. We had a ball, ya know, water, sand, going to all the tourist spots (heehee) and now back to reality. In the morning we have Alexis ultra sound. Please be praying for her during this time. There is no pain involved, it is just like a pregnancy ultra sound, but she doesn't like it at all.
I have complete trust that the Lord will take care of what needs to be taken care of. When all of this first came about, I prayed and gave it all to the Lord. A calm came over me, the Lord said she will be fine. My precious angel has been touched in so many ways. God makes all of our children very special, and some he adds a little more sugar to, and they stand out a little more.
It is really funny how Jonathan and Lydia Grace have so many similarities with each other, and Lexi bug, well she is so different. For instance, they have curly hair, Lexi's is straight, Lexi has a little red, strawberry type birth mark to the side of her stomach. ( that is her kiss from a angel)My other two, Jonathan has a slight line on his nose, and Lydia Grace, was born with dark, dark hair, and two light blond streaks ( that are still there, that was their kiss) So see God touches each and every one of our babies in a special way.
God will give me the strength I need for what ever comes. I am so thankful, for the children I have, that God has blessed me with. We just have little bumps in the road.
